Edmond Named 2024 PVF Most Valuable Player

Outside hitter Leah Edmond of the Atlanta Vibe was named the Most Valuable Player of the Pro Volleyball Federation’s 2024 season on Thursday at the league gala in Omaha.

Edmond led the PVF on points (kills + service aces + blocks) with 453. She was second in kills (394) and kills per set (4.19). But she was more than just a big hitter. Edmond was ninth in the league in digs, and 10th in blocks.

More than any other player, Edmond was responsible for the Vibe’s league-best 19-5 regular season record. She had at least 20 kills in six matches, and was in double digits for every match of the season. Her hitting percentage for the season was .248.

A 6’2 four-year professional, Edmond starred for the Kentucky Wildcats, where she was a VCA All-American four times, and the SEC Player of the Year in both her junior and senior seasons. She was a first round selection of the Vibe in the first-ever PVF Draft.
